Community Advisory Board

In 2019, MIMA formed its Community Advisory Board (CAB), a group of 17 New American (immigrant & refugee) community members who oversee MIMA's work & the implementation of MIMA's strategic plan. In addition, CAB members have the opportunity to connect with and offer feedback to various City agencies and serve as MIMA ambassador's within their respective communities. CAB meets on the third Tuesday of every other month, and CAB members are expected to miss no more that 2 of 6 meetings per year.

Currently, MIMA is seeking to fill several vacancies on its Community Advisory Board. One of these vacancies is reserved for a member of the "receiving community," or someone who does not identify as a New American but wants to work to integrate immigrant & refugee communities and strengthen connections between receiving and New American communities in Baltimore. If you are applying to fill this particular vacancy, please indicate so in the narrative (short answer) section of the application.

The application will be open from June 6, 2022 to Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 5 pm. All interested applicants should apply before the deadline. Thank you for your interest in supporting the work of MIMA!
