Mayor's Hispanic Heritage Awards Nomination Form

Nominations for the 2022 Mayor's Hispanic Heritage Awards are now closed.


Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Baltimore City Hispanic Commission present the 2022 Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Awards to honor members of Baltimore's Hispanic/Latino community who have made outstanding contributions toward improving the community's quality of life. 

Due to the continually evolving COVID-19 situation, the format of the ceremony that will honor the winners in each category is still being determined. When final details are available, this page will be updated, and the event will also be announced via MIMA’s Facebook page.

To submit your nomination, fill out the form below. The deadline to submit a nomination has been extended to Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

If you have difficulty submitting this form online, you may download the 2022 Mayor's Hispanic Heritage Awards nomination form and email your submission to hispanic.commission@baltimorecity.gov. Please note that mailing submissions will NOT be an option in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and remote working conditions. 

A selection committee will review all nominations. Sponsors and winners will be notified by Friday, September 30, 2022.

Award Nomination


Please provide a description of the nominee’s work in the Hispanic/Latino community as related. What is the impact of their work? Include brief biographical information. Nominees whose work has provided assistance to those impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic will be given priority. FOR THE DELFINA HAYDEE PEREDA ECHEVERRIA AWARD: Please provide a description of the nominee’s work as it relates to building bridges between the Hispanic/Latinx community and other entities or communities in Baltimore City. Their work should be in the spirit of the late Delfina Haydee Pereda Echeverria for whom the award is named. (300-400 words)
