What to do if you have COVID-19 symptoms

Symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavurs disease) include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Loss of taste and/or smell

If you have some of these symptoms but DO NOT have shortness of breath, stay home and call your doctor. If you do not have a doctor, call 667-600-2314 (the Esperanza Center coronavirus health hotline) if you speak Spanish or 211 if you speak any other language. 

If you have shortness of breath and your symptoms are severe, call 911

Health Insurance

You may be eligible to enroll in a qualified health plan through Maryland Health Connection, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, if you are present in the US under certain immigration statuses or if you have applied for certain lawfully present statuses. Visit MarylandHealthConnection.gov (in English) or MarylandHealthConnection.gov/es (en español) to find out if you are eligible for free or low-cost health insurance by June 15th.
